SPARTA, NJ – The Sparta girls tennis team advanced confidently in the NJSIAA North Group 2 tournament by defeating Leonia in the first round. As the number four seed, the Spartans faced the 13th-seeded Leonia team in a thrilling match that concluded with a score of 3-2 in favor of Sparta. Emily Dondero, playing at first singles, faced a tough opponent, ultimately losing her match 6-1, 6-2.
