
Panda Express Expands Presence in New Jersey
Panda Express, a well-known fixture in American Chinese cuisine, has recently opened its 26th restaurant in New Jersey, marking a significant milestone for the fast-casual chain. The grand opening event on August 29 took place in Flanders, specifically at the ITC Center Crossing South, where the local chamber of commerce was honored with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. In a spirit of community support, Panda Express also donated $1,000 to the Mount Olive Chamber of Commerce.
Founded in 1983 in California, Panda Express has evolved into a culinary staple, boasting over 2,400 locations worldwide. Known for its signature dishes like orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp, the restaurant also offers family meals and catering options to meet varied customer needs. In the last year, the brand added an impressive 89 new restaurants and aims to continue its expansion with plans for over 100 new locations this year alone.
Supporting the Local Economy
The Flanders restaurant's opening is not just about expanding the Panda Express brand; it also signifies the creation of 40 new jobs within the community. Thomas Ng, area coach of operations for Panda Express, expressed the company's commitment to serving the local population through dining options and community involvement. He stated, “Our entire Panda team is grateful to serve the Flanders community... and we hope to be a lasting part of the community.”
Competing in the Neighborhood
Located amidst a diverse range of retail and dining establishments, Panda Express will operate alongside popular chains like Walmart, Chipotle, and Applebee’s. This mix of businesses provides a competitive backdrop that will undoubtedly contribute to the vibrant economy of Flanders. Pandas Express's hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sundays.
