Generous Support for Middlesex College’s Arts Transformation
The Middlesex College Foundation is thrilled to announce a transformative $2 million gift from the Dalal Family Foundation, led by Nayan and Bindu Dalal. This generous commitment will fund significant renovations to the Performing Arts Center (PAC), further enriching the college's arts program and the community’s cultural landscape.
A New Vision for the Performing Arts Center
The donation will see extensive updates including a new exterior façade, a redesigned lobby, and improved theater acoustics. This renovation is set to elevate the audience experience, creating a more inviting and intimate atmosphere for performances. This is accompanied by a separate $1.7 million upgrade to audio/visual technology, made possible by grants from the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education.
Strengthening Community Bonds Through the Arts
Both Nayan and Bindu Dalal understand and appreciate the vital role arts play in education and community life. They share a vision with college leadership that believes in the power of art to inspire, educate, and unite. Middlesex College President Mark McCormick expressed deep gratitude for this partnership, stating, “The Dalal Family Foundation’s extraordinary generosity will have a transformative impact on Middlesex College students as well as the entire Middlesex County community.”
Anticipation for Future Collaborations
The Dalal Family and Middlesex College Foundation’s relationship dates back over a decade, during which they have collaborated on scholarships and community projects. This long-standing partnership set the groundwork for the current initiative, demonstrating how private philanthropy can catalyze meaningful change in county-level education.
Looking Ahead
Plans for the PAC renovation are currently in the works, with groundbreaking scheduled for spring 2026. As we look forward to this exciting development, the impact of this gift will undoubtedly resonate throughout the community, fostering a renewed appreciation for the arts and further connecting students and residents alike.
