Get Ready for the Hackettstown Rotary Fall Shredding Event
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — Mark your calendars! The Hackettstown Rotary Club is set to host its biannual fall shredding event on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to noon. This community-focused event will take place in the parking lot of Fulton Bank located at 176 Mountain Ave. Residents from Hackettstown and surrounding areas, including Sussex County NJ communities such as Andover Borough and Sparta Township, are welcome to participate.
Affordable and Accessible Document Shredding
The shredding service is offered at a nominal fee of $5 per bag or box, making it an affordable option for those looking to securely dispose of sensitive documents. Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting over 35 community organizations that benefit from the Hackettstown Rotary Foundation, including educational scholarships for students at Hackettstown High School and programs that assist local food pantries in the area.
Support the Community While Facilitating Eco-Friendly Recycling
In addition to document shredding, attendees will have the opportunity to donate a variety of small electronics at the event, free of charge! However, large-screen televisions will require a $25 donation. An Abilities donation truck will be present to accept these items, allowing community members to declutter their homes responsibly while contributing to a good cause. This year, the Rotary continues to uphold its commitment to peace and assistance on a global scale by supporting initiatives like the Cure Blindness project through the Himalayan Cataract Project.
Why It's Important to Participate
