This October, the city of Rahway is set to embrace the cosmos with its vibrant Festival of the Moon, showcasing the extraordinary "Museum of the Moon" by renowned U.K. artist Luke Jerram. The festival, running from October 4 to October 20, 2025, promises a unique blend of artistic expression and cultural engagement, making it an unmissable event for both residents and visitors alike.
A Celestial Artwork Premiers
At the heart of this festival lies the breathtaking 23-foot diameter sculpture, which mimics the moon’s surface using stunning NASA imagery. As it captures the moon’s vivid textures and details, every inch of the piece represents nearly 8 miles of the lunar surface, inviting onlookers to delve into the beauty of our closest celestial neighbor. Accompanied by a moonlight soundscape crafted by award-winning composer Dan Jones, the installation is set within the historic Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC).
