New Jersey's Culinary Gems Shine Bright
The 2025 Summer Fancy Food Show, held from June 29 to July 1 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, showcased New Jersey's rich culinary landscape through its largest state pavilion to date. Hosted by the New Jersey Business Action Center (NJBAC), 28 innovative local businesses had the opportunity to present their distinctive food products to a crowd of over 30,000 attendees and more than 2,000 exhibitors.
A Showcase of Local Talent
From artisanal chocolates to gourmet snacks, New Jersey’s pavilion was a vibrant tapestry representing the state’s diverse offerings. Entrepreneurs such as Hank Sauce from Sea Isle City and Brooklyn Born Chocolate in Rahway displayed their products, each narrating a unique story of passion and creativity in food-making. This year, the NJBAC also extended its support through the New Jersey State Trade Expansion Program (NJSTEP), which is aimed at empowering minority-owned businesses in expanding their reach.
The Value of Networking
The Fancy Food Show is renowned for being a hub of networking, making it invaluable for local entrepreneurs. Participating businesses had the chance to engage directly with buyers, brokers, and distributors, further solidifying connections that are crucial for business growth. Lt. Gov. Tahesha Way opened the pavilion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, illustrating the state's commitment to fostering local talent.
Continuing the Tradition
As one of the top destinations for product discovery and trendspotting, the Summer Fancy Food Show is a milestone event that will undoubtedly continue to enhance New Jersey's reputation in the culinary world. By empowering local businesses and providing a platform for their products, NJBAC is paving the way for a prosperous future in the gourmet food industry.
